You

Your touch makes me powerless
I collapse like a shooting star
Into glittering shimmering gold dust
And blend into the thin air afar

Your warm skin melts me
Like an ice cube on a sizzling platter
I sublimate into misty steam
And then vanish from reality after

Your lips taste me as if I were
Hot and cold, sweet and spicy
Consuming me all at once
Leaving me parched as a pitcher empty

As your gentle caresses explore me
The passionate touch gets me carried away
Like an orphaned boat while I calmly meander
The current comes and sweeps me away

You linger behind my shut eyes
And make my heart skip a beat
Leaving me longing for more
Until the next time we rekindle the heat

I am Waiting

I hold my sorrow deep in my heart
Behind locked doors.
I am waiting to see you
I know I will one day

And when that day comes
I’ll tell you all about my ache
The doors will open and I’ll tell you
About the sorrow and heartbreak

All that I experienced when you left
I’ll complain to you -How could you go
Without me be your side
You took a part of me with you-you know?

I  have not had enough of your love
I need so much more of it
I have not given enough back
I need a lot more time for it

I am waiting to tell you all about it
I have cried every day since you left
But only when I see you
Will I cry my heart  out to put this ache to rest

Grief

How painful is grief
How helpless is grief
Its a like a rock kept on the heart
While you are trying to get up an lead a life

You walk around with this rock as if it does not exist
You move on as if nothing has happened.
Once in a while, you notice the rock
You get crushed under its weight

It breaks you, it takes away the earth from underneath your feet
It takes your breath away.
It takes away a part of you each time,
that you will never get back

Every night you sleep into nothingness
You cease to exist for a while
But when you wake up to reality

You wish reality were just a bad dream

The Boat

I know well that the mind

Ought not to be listened to

The senses ought not to be obeyed

Emotions ought not to be followed

But some times I can’t stop

They take me like a river would

take an orphan boat with it

Hitting against all the rocks on its way

Getting hurt as it is let loose

In the river of memory

And in its silent turbulence

Breaking me again and again

Knowing it is wrong

I can’t pull my self out

It's like a dream I can’t wake up from

And it goes on and on against my will

Like all my effort to forget

Is Undone in no time

The waves take me

Break me again and again

Wonder when ill reach the ocean

The calm ocean, the end

And be washed off all the memories

And bathe dry in the wash of the sun

the little girl at the lake

On the bank of the lake
She sat in the shadow
gazing beyond the horizon
under a weeping willow

Her little feet in the cold water
Her still eyes staring at the sky
At the burst of radiant colors
The sun just left by

Her little figures immersed
Body resting on her tender hands
Feeling the warmth beneath
Of the coarse sand

The evening breeze ran
Through her hair as it fluttered
Kissed her golden face
And her gleaming eyes flickered

I sat by her side on the bank
enjoying my gaze
from a few feet away
as the little soul enjoyed the evening haze

I wondered what she thought
I wondered what was in her heart
As she got up and walked passed
And disappeared in to the dark

Lets wake up

Bombs blast and people die
Sparks fly and mothers cry
Wars continue as if for ever
Hatred grows, love never

Trains blow up in pieces
Air raids happen, a village vanishes
So much blood shed for a piece of land
After death aren’t we all part of the sand

Man kills man in god’s name
Aren’t all religions, but the same
If only we could wait and see
That there is God in you and me

Love is in every creature on earth
We were all innocent at birth
If only we could wait and pause
And think to realize that there’s no cause

People disappear but we carry on
It happens to us, but life just goes on…..

Breeze

We have all moved on
Life has gone ahead so fast
But there are still some threads
Entangled far into the past.

These strands pulling you
Back and forth, now and then
To those unforgettable moments
As in your thoughts you unfold them

Crystal clear before your closed eyes
Even today, As if you were
Right there and the past is the present
Happening right now, right here

How you wish that time could halt
And the moment could just freeze
But some thing wakes you up to realize
That life has flown past like a breeze
